Dr PawPaw balms for the festive season

Dr PawPaw balms has only been in the country for a while now and they have a new sparkly version for the festive season.

I’m pretty sure that anyone who’s ever used Dr PawPaw balms became an instant fan. Luckily for us, we can now get our hands on this UK favourite locally at the nearest Dischem stores.

It’s easy to think that Dr PawPaw is just another lip product, but it’s much more than that. Although it does a great job at keeping your lips photo ready no matter the season, it’s also a multi-purpose balm.

Dr PawPaw varients

What makes Dr PawPaw so special?

It must be the two special ingredients: fermented pawpaw and aloe barbadensis leaf juice.

The pawpaw is a nutrient-rich fruit which is full of antioxidants, minerals and also contains vitamins C + B. It helps to aid skin repair, provides anti-inflammatory properties and adds moisture.

The aloe barbadensis leaf juice contains more than 200 different plant constituents that “promote glowing, youthful looking skin and hair.”

Below are some benefits it brings to Dr PawPaw balms.

  • Retains and restores moisture to lips, skin and hair.
  • ‘Bathes’ skin cells and helps promote skin regeneration.
  • Helps minimise appearance of pore size.
  • Excellent ingredient for skin cleansing and toning.

The below are my favourites:

The original – my favourite, favourite

The original fragrance-free Dr PawPaw balm can also be used to moisturise nails and cuticles in addition to lips. It can also provide relief for dry, irritated skin; and sooth dry skin on hands, heels and elbows. If you’re in a rush, it’s also perfect for smoothing and keeping your brows in place. You can even use it on insect bites. I even use this one to soothe some mild patches of eczema.

Tinted Ultimate Red – for when I don’t want full lipstick, but a tint

In addition to moisturising your lips all day long, the tinted ultimate red Dr PawPaw also adds a red tint. You can also use it instead of blush to add a natural glow to your cheeks.

Limited Edition Red Sparkle – makes me feel a little glam with the sparkle

This is one of my favourites for the impending festive season. Sparkles are added to the ultimate red to provide a red tint and a bit of glamour.

The verdict

I’m always within arm’s reach of one of the above, especially the original. It’s convenient for someone who’s always on the run due to it being multi-purpose…,it ensures that my lips are always moisturised and I have something on-hand for minor eczema flareups.
