06 Mar The Lite Brunch Collective
Flying Fish invited me to their Lite Brunch Collective at the weekend and I had an absolute blast.
Brunch is pretty much traditionally an American thing. I am sure that we adopted it locally because of all the mimosas women were having with their besties in popular TV series, and we wanted that too. Flying Fish is taking the Lite Brunch Collective around the country to fulfil your love of a laid back brunch.
I am used to donning my flip flops and sundresses at the weekends to take a rest from the more restrictive clothing I wear the rest of the week. Not this last Sunday however. I slinked into a bold floral print dress, put on my heels and painted on some lipstick for the Lite Brunch Collective.
Flying Fish has a new lighter offering. The new Zesty Lemon flavour boasts 30% less calories, 35% less sugar and 35% carbohydrates and is perfect for us older ladies who aren’t into hard partying anymore and watching our figures. It’s great for sipping on a lazy weekend afternoon.
Created out of the newly collective love for brunching in South Africa, the Lite Brunch Collective really set the scene for the most relaxed afternoon. The brunch was hosted in a real life, bona fide greenhouse situated a couple of kilometers outside of Johannesburg. The Bidvest Execuflora Green House is not a lunch venue by any means and the events team did an amazing job transforming the space.
I loved being amongst the lush greenery, the chilled sounds of DJ Kenzhero, laughing and spilling the tea with new friends. Flying Fish based cocktails were flowing and delicious vegan brownies topped off a tasty meal.
I had the most enjoyable afternoon and I headed home with a full belly, a happy heart and had a two hour nap.
