09 Feb Strongbow made daily commute a lot more exciting
At the end of last year, Strongbow decided to give daily commuters a little something to make their daily commute a bit better.
Strongbow converted an average every day bus stop into a refreshing reprieve from the harsh summer heat and add a bit of extraordinary to the lives of commuters.
The brand believes that nature is the most refreshing thing on earth and thus it’s no surprise that the bus stop reflected a natural oasis. Difficult to believe that it was in the middle of noisy, busy Jozi. Living plants were used to block out the city noise and doubled as shade from the scathing sun. Hidden speakers played soothing birdsong and motion sensors released cooling mist. Sounds absolutely heavenly. To top it off, fresh apples were placed amongst the plants for snacks.
I can only imagine being stressed and frazzled during a work day and spending some time at the bus stop made people feel a little bit more refreshed. Wish I knew about this last year, because I would have loved to experience it for myself. I think this was a very clever and engaging activation that I’m sure created a lot of buzz amongst commuters.
If the Strongbow people are reading this, please can you do it again? This time in a couple of locations so that more commuters can get a refreshing break from their busy days.
Here’s a video of the activation:
